Welcome new members! We hope you have had time to explore the toolset in the Research Lab, but we wanted to show you the newest and perhaps the best feature.
We actually were going to save this for the New Year, but we wanted to give you access right away. On the Research Lab home page, simply click the link “Quick View” under the Performance Tracking section.
Today, 11/3/2009 we rolled out the new feature for you. Here are screenshots of the widgets at the close.

The screenshots show the Momentum, Earnings, Breakouts, and Alpha lists.
Remember, in order for a stock to display in the widget, it has to be higher then today’s open.
The widgets will reset and start populating each day exactly 2-minutes after the market open. The reason we wait until 2-minutes after the opening bell is that we want all the “crazy, all over the map” trades to settle out and let the stock establish a price. Also many NYSE stocks do not open right at the bell. So 2 minutes after the open, Refresh the page. Then refresh again frequently as the session progresses.
The charts are real-time 15-minute charts and if you click any symbol in the widget, it will display the chart for that symbol.
The charts will refresh themselves and update in real-time on the page by themselves.
The horizontal yellow line shows yesterday’s closing price.
Stocks can appear as picks if they are below the yellow line, as long as they are trading up and higher from the open. An example was last week when BIDU gapped down $55 at the open, then spent that session moving up $33. The scans do not care where a stock closed yesterday. They are only concerned about directional moves off the open and with the magnitude of those moves.
The charts in the widgets are live and will refresh themselves while the page is open. The price quote will only update if you refresh the page and our quotes generally cycle every 5-minutes or so. Always be sure to check the real-time bid and ask price at your broker as they can change in an instant.
We think you will find the new widget page is the essence of our stock picking technology and we are confident that you will enjoy your access to the best real-time stocks picks available anywhere.
We will be adding new features as we go and making tweaks as we go, but we did not want to hold off on this feature.
